The submission deadline was May 15. Contributed abstracts can still be submitted. However, due to the large number of submissions already received, new Contributed abstracts will be placed on a waiting list. If space is available after the initial program has been scheduled and posted online (July 28), new Contributed abstracts will be scheduled where there are openings. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that space will be available for these new abstracts.

As the premier OR/MS conference, INFORMS Annual Meeting 2008 invites submissions in all areas of the field, broadly defined. We particularly invite submissions in areas that illustrate the use of OR/MS in keeping with the theme “OR Goes to Washington.”
Contributed Abstracts
Abstract submission will open December 14, 2007
Only one contributed abstract is accepted from the same presenting author. All attendees, including speakers and session chairs, must register and pay the registration fee. If you need an early confirmation for visa or budgetary reasons, please indicate this in the “Comments” field on the online form.
Submission Deadline: May 15, 2008
Abstracts received by May 15 will be scheduled with the initial round of
scheduling, done in June. Depending on the total number of abstracts
received by the deadline, we may be able to continue to accept abstracts
after May 15. However, all abstracts submitted after May 15 will be held for
the second round of scheduling in mid-summer. If space is available on the
program at that time, those late abstract submissions will be scheduled to
fill openings. We encourage you to submit early!
Program Online: July 28
The preliminary program will be finalized on July 28
and posted on the Web. All speakers will receive an e-mail directing them to the online program for the date and time of their presentations, registration, A/V, hotel information and other speaker guidelines. No schedule changes can be made after the program has been posted online.
Author's Deadline for Abstract Changes: August 27, 2008
This is the final date when authors can make editorial changes to their
abstracts, modify the list of co-authors, etc. Please note that no schedule
changes can be made at this time or any time after July 28.
