The Program Committee is pleased to welcome all the participants
of IFORS 2002. "OR in a globalised, networked world economy", the theme
of the Conference, provides us with the opportunity to demonstrate the
capabilities of OR to solve global problems in the new networked world economy.
We can play a major role in identifying and solving economic, financial,
logistic, health, and other problems. OR is well and alive in the third
millenium.
