Visa Information for International Registrants

APPLY EARLY

Begin your visa application process as early as possible. Consulates in some countries currently take 2-3 months to process applications.

To request an IFORS Triennial invitation letter for visa purposes, email: abstractcentral@informs.org. Please provide your full name, full mailing address, email, and title of your paper.

Travelers from Visa Waiver Countries
Please note that as of October 2004, travelers from visa-waiver countries are required to have a machine-readable passport (MRP) in order to enter the U.S. without a visa.

When You Enter the U.S.
The US-VISIT program is now in effect. Almost all international visitors to the U.S. will now have their two index fingers scanned and a digital photograph will be taken. This will apply even to visitors who are not required to have a visa. Please understand that this process will require extra time for processing as you enter the U.S. in Honolulu.
