INFORMS PROFESSIONAL COLLOQUIUM
Real-world career guidance for practice-oriented graduate students.

Dear Professors and Former IPC Attendees:

I am writing to you on behalf of the INFORMS Professional Colloquium which will be held at the INFORMS Conference on O.R. Practice, Vancouver, BC, April 29-May 1. I myself attended the colloquium in 2005 and had a great experience. Now I am part of the organizing committee for this year's IPC.

I am contacting you because we are trying to reach former attendees to find out how their experience at the colloquium translated into real world experience in their careers. We would love to hear from former participants in order to learn how we can better focus this year's colloquium on what is most important as students transition into the professional world.

In addition, if any former students would like to write to us about where they are working today and how they are using O.R. in their careers, we would like to put together statements that we can hand out to this year's participants.

I have included in this email both nominators and nominees. Unfortunately, I realize that most (or all) of the nominees no longer are in school and therefore no longer use the email addresses that we have on record. Nominators, this is where I need your help. Please look over the list for the students that you nominated, and if you have contact information for any of them, I would appreciate it if you could help me update my records.

Thank you for your help. We appreciate your support in the past and look forward to getting in touch with you about this year's colloquium.
