Building and Measuring Team Effectiveness in Today's Distributed Work Environments

In this talk, we invite the audience to expand their definition of a “team” and discuss ways to build and assess team effectiveness in a post-covid, distributed workplace that is being increasingly disrupted by AI.  We will review the literature on teams and extend the ideas to today.  This will include a discussion of data and how to best use analytics to identify behaviors that will help team succeed.  We will also talk through leadership strategies for creating team cohesion in today’s distributed working environments.  Finally, no talk about teaming in the workplace would be complete without an examination of the impact of AI and how it is changing how work gets done and how teams communicate and execute.  The audience will leave the talk with some practical takeaways and ideas appropriate for today’s work environments.
