SF Network Planning Intelligent Solution
Since 2018, SF’s operations researchers have been tackling complicated and huge-scale network design problems (i.e., inter-city ground, inter-city air, and intra-city networks) by proposing state-of-the-art methods. The methodologies developed now guide SF\’s strategic and operational network planning decisions, such as planning Asia’s first cargo-focused air hub and daily optimization of vehicle routes. This has resulted in financial benefits of over $1 billion and reduced millions of tons of carbon dioxide equivalent since 2018.
