Pooja Dewan is the Vice President and Chief Data & Analytics Officer for Otis Elevator Company. In this critical role, she leads the company\u2019s data science and analytics capabilities, identifying opportunities to accelerate growth and efficiency.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

She is also responsible for driving the data management vision, strategy, and execution to drive sustainable business growth and profitability, as well as internal efficiencies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to this role, Pooja spent more than 20 years at BNSF Railway where she served as the Chief Data Scientist. There she led the Operations Research and Advanced Analytics group for 16 years.\u00a0 Her team received international recognition through an INFORMS award as the Best Advanced Analytics Team in 2019.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Creating Impact with IoT-based Analytics<\/h2>\n

In this session, Pooja Dewan will share her experience creating a strategy for IoT-based analytics for the Otis One digital service platform. IoT-based analytics can be used to propel organizations to make decisions that are data driven and often result in efficiencies throughout a global company. Pooja will share her approach to identifying the IoT sensors and devices used to collect data to support the IoT-based analytics strategy, she will discuss how to design an ecosystem to support the analysis, and she will share the how we leveraged the magnitude of data generated from the IoT sensors.\u00a0 Finally, Pooja will speak about building models to analyze the data for insights and talk about the partnerships she has made with the business to operationalize on those insights.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
