Andy Burrow currently serves as the business analytics team lead for Space Operations Command, US Space Force. Prior to his current assignment, Dr. Burrow taught data analytics at the Air Force Institute of Technology, wrestled with natural resource challenges at the Colorado School of Mines, and served as a technical advisor in the United States Marine Corps. He holds a PhD in Operations Research with Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, a MS degree in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a BS in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University.\u00a0<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Standing Up A Space Force Business Analytics Capabilities<\/h2>\n

As the Department of Defense\u2019s newest branch, the Space Force is being digitally transformed through innovation and data-driven decisions. Business Analytics plays a key role in this effort and over the course of the last year, we have started small, scaled fast, and failed fast. Although the DoD is not a commercial entity, we face similar obstacles such as changing the culture, data stovepipes, and platform challenges that are common among digital transformation participants.
