She earned her Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida and later completed her Master&#8217;s degree in the same field at the University of Central Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Melanie&#8217;s professional journey began at Walt Disney World, where she spent 11 years in various roles, initially as a labor analyst supporting the Studios theme park and later transitioning to the industrial engineering department, where she focused on operations within the Downtown Disney district and Transportation line of business.<\/p>\n<p>For the past 13 years, Melanie has been employed by Rockwell Automation as an Arena simulation consultant. In this role, she has built simulation models for clients across multiple industries, including food &amp; beverage manufacturing, healthcare, and oil &amp; gas supply chain models. In his eight years with the company, Wei has worked on projects across a variety of hospitality, consumer products, and media businesses, with an emphasis on the application of optimization methods. Wei currently leads decision scientists developing mathematical models in support of scheduling, financial forecasting, supply chain, and revenue management functions. These solutions empower decision makers through the application of statistics, optimization, simulation, and machine learning methods. Her background in engineering enables her to successfully translate complex mathematical models to the messy realities of business. She leads development, testing, and deployment of optimization and machine learning systems; managing business-critical advanced analytics projects in transportation, manufacturing, biotech, finance, and advertising.<\/p>\n<p>In her optimization and analytics projects, she works on-site with client executives and subject matter experts, and with a team of optimizers, software developers, data scientists and mathematicians, using many different approaches and algorithms to create functional models that quickly deliver the best possible results for very complex, real-world problems. The optimization and analytics models are custom-designed for each client to capture the nuances of their individual business operations.<\/p>\n<p>Patricia joined Princeton in 2007, and has earned promotions leading to Director, where she is responsible for leading Princeton teams to ensure complete client satisfaction and success. She holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University.<\/p>\n<p>Patricia presented \u201cOptimization Powers a New Operating Universe at Birchbox\u201d as a featured speaker at Gurobi Days in Dallas in February 2020. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida and later completed her Master's degree in the same field at the University of Central Florida.<\/p> <p>Melanie's professional journey began at Walt Disney World, where she spent 11 years in various roles, initially as a labor analyst supporting the Studios theme park and later transitioning to the industrial engineering department, where she focused on operations within the Downtown Disney district and Transportation line of business.<\/p> <p>For the past 13 years, Melanie has been employed by Rockwell Automation as an Arena simulation consultant. In this role, she has built simulation models for clients across multiple industries, including food &amp; beverage manufacturing, healthcare, and oil &amp; gas supply chain models.
