(i3). Prior to joining i3 in 2022, Mark served in the military for 26 years before retiring as an Army Colonel. He spent the first part of his career in multiple assignments as a Longbow Apache (AH-64D) helicopter pilot before transitioning to the Operations Research military specialty. Mark\u2019s military Operations Research assignments included Department of the Army Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and U.S. Special Operations Command, where he served as Chief Data Scientist. His academic and professional research focuses on data science, machine learning, metaheuristics, and simulation optimization.
