Dr. Destenie Nock's research focuses on renewable energy planning, energy policy, and engineering for social good. Specifically, she asks questions like how can we use modeling tools to improve social welfare and our understanding of society. She earned a PhD in the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in March of 2019. She is a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow in the Engineering and Public Policy (EPP) Department at Carnegie Mellon University. In the Fall of 2020 this will transition to an Assistant Professor position in the Civil Engineering and EPP departments.
