For those traveling to Singapore for the conference, Changi Airport (SIN) is one of the world’s leading airports, located approximately 25-30 minutes from the city center. A variety of transportation options, including taxis, ride-hailing services, MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), and airport shuttle buses, are readily available to transfer you to central Singapore. Be sure to check for any travel advisories or visa requirements specific to Singapore before your departure.

Passport

International visitors wishing to travel to Singapore must present a passport valid for at least six (6) months from the date of entry. Your passport should also have blank pages available for entry stamps.

Request a Letter of Invitation

Visa

Citizens of certain countries may require a visa to enter Singapore. To check if your country requires a visa, please visit the official Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website here. If a visa is required, you may request a Letter of Invitation from INFORMS. Once the letter is issued, you can proceed with your individual visa application. Please begin the visa process as early as possible, as processing times may vary depending on your country of residence.

Travelers must also fill out the SG Arrival Card, an electronic document required for immigration clearance before entering Singapore. This form should be completed online prior to departure.

Currency

The Singapore Dollar (SGD) is the legal currency in Singapore. Foreign currencies such as US dollars, euros, and others can be exchanged at banks, licensed money changers, and exchange counters located in international airports, shopping malls, and hotels. Credit cards are widely accepted across Singapore, with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express being the most commonly used.
