Monica Anderson Young, Head of Organizational Effectiveness (Culture, Learning, Emerging Talent) for Allianz Technology of America, creates and delivers impactful programs encouraging people to find their most productive results through communication and creativity. She has worked globally with large multinational corporations as well as with small businesses with one purpose in mind – helping each organization and employee flourish. Named as a Georgetown University Top 30 Hoya while pursuing a master’s in Strategic Global Communication, Monica also holds a certificate in Organizational Behavior from Harvard University and is pursuing her doctorate in Global Leadership at Troy University, where her academic journey began. She received the key to Kernersville, North Carolina, the second person to receive this honor, for social good initiatives developed and implemented within the community. She and her oldest daughter wrote a syndicated children’s/ young adult book review column for many years with a regular appearance on a local news station. Monica is a co-founder of SHORT the Squirrel, which was named Alabama’s Literacy Mascot by Governor Kay Ivey. Growing the love of reading with SHORT may be Monica’s favorite passion project yet. She and her husband Chris returned home to Baldwin County and now live in Daphne. They have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and a grandson.
