The INFORMS Poster Competition recognizes outstanding poster presentations and highlights innovative research across the operations research and analytics community. Participation in the competition is optional and open to all accepted poster presenters.

Poster Submission Deadline: May 20, 2026
Poster Session: Sunday, November 1, during the Welcome Reception
Judging Session: Sunday, November 1, during SD block
All posters will be displayed in the Exhibit Hall.
Competition Submission Requirements
To participate in the Poster Competition, presenters must submit:
- Poster title
- 250-word abstract
- PDF of the poster (required)
- 3–5 minute presentation video (required)
Judging Process
- An online judging phase will identify the top 25 posters to competition in the judging session onsite
- Finalists will be evaluated during an onsite judging session on Sunday during the SD block
Awards & Recognition
- 1st Place: $700
- 2nd Place: $500
- 3rd Place: $300
Winners will also receive a certificate and be recognized in INFORMS newsletters, OR/MS Today, INFORMS Connect, and on the INFORMS website.
Poster Competition winners will be announced during the Welcome Reception.
In order to receive the prize, winners are required to complete applicable tax documentation (Form W‑9 for U.S. recipients or Form W‑8BEN for international recipients).
Onsite Presentation
Authors selected for onsite judging will have a total of 15 minutes with the judges to present their work and engage in discussion.
Not Competing?
Authors who are not selected for the onsite judging session will still present their posters during the General Poster Session.
