The Wm Michael Barnes ’64 Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering is one of six named programs in the country and is home to more than 1,200 students. Ranked eighth in public undergraduate and seventh in graduate programs by U.S. News and World Report, focus areas are advanced manufacturing, data science and engineering, health and human systems engineering, and operations research.
The department offers a new BS in Data Engineering, in addition to the BS, MS, ME, and Ph.D. in IE, as well as master’s degrees in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management. The department has recently established the ISEN Partnership Program to offer companies more ways to collaborate, including Senior Capstone Projects and Career Fair.
