Career Fair
The event begins with a formal Career Fair meet & greet from 11am to 5pm on Sunday, October 20. After employers and jobseekers network and exchange information, INFORMS will be holding two interview days on Monday, October 21, and Tuesday, October 22, from 8am to 5pm.
Individuals participating in the INFORMS Career Center activities and the Career Fair will be able to:
- Gather materials and make vital connections in a fun and energetic setting.
- Meet one-on-one with top employer representatives who are looking for candidates like you.
- See the job postings from the 75+ top employers expected to participate.
- Drop off your resume if you are unable to connect in person.
- Qualify to have your resume reviewed by veteran INFORMS members.
Those who register will have the ability to view jobs in advance of the event, contact employers, gather information, make connections, chat with recruiters, and be seen by organizations. Increase your visibility by creating or updating your profile on the INFORMS Career Center and uploading a current copy of your resume. Employers will be able to review your profile and resume before the Career Fair so having them filled out and available increases your chances of being selected for an interview on Monday or Tuesday.
You must register for the 2024 INFORMS Annual Meeting to attend the in-person Career Fair in Seattle. Click here to register for the Annual Meeting. Once you are registered to attend the Annual Meeting, be sure to create or update your Career Center profile.
Job Seekers Career Fair Registration:
- Once you are registered to attend the event, be sure to create or update your career center employer profile. Login or create your career center employer account by visiting https://careercenter.informs.org, and selecting either the Register option or the Sign-in option in the top menu.
- Set-up your event schedule by logging into your career center employer account, then clicking on the link for the event which will be located in your account dashboard. From here you will be able to set-up your interview schedule, request interviews with candidates, search the resume database, and more.
- Ensure your talent profile is complete and your up-to-date resume is uploaded in your INFORMS Career Center account. Participating employers will have access to the resume database, so be sure you can be discovered by participating employers who have access to your most current information.

Identify yourself as the next generation of talent at the INFORMS Annual Meeting Career Fair! Join us for “Job Talks,” where INFORMS’ student job seekers will showcase their cutting-edge research, academic achievements, and innovative ideas in focused 15-minute sessions.
This is your opportunity to present your work in a classroom-style setting to prospective employers who want a firsthand look at the presentation skills and styles of emerging professionals who are the future of operations research and analytics.
The 2024 INFORMS Annual Meeting has set up a special classroom specifically for this purpose as part of the Career Fair in Seattle.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR JOB TALKS
Please note:
- To sign-up for a Job Talk, you must be registered for the 2024 INFORMS Annual Meeting and the Annual Meeting Career Fair.
- Job Talk time slots are available on a first come, first served basis.
- You may only sign-up for one (1) Job Talk time slot.
Please follow the steps below in the order listed.
Step #1 – Register for the 2024 INFORMS Annual Meeting. Click here to register for the Annual Meeting.
Step #2 – Create or log into your career center job seeker account by visiting https://careercenter.informs.org, and selecting either the Register option or the Sign-in option in the top menu.
Step #3 – Register for the Career Fair by visiting https://careercenter.informs.org, click on the link for the event, and then click on the event registration button. Be sure your profile information is up to date and upload your current resume.
Step #4 – Go to https://careercenter.informs.org/events/2024-Annual-Meeting-Career-Fair-1 and click on the “Schedule Interview, Job Talks, or Resume Review” button on the right-hand side of the screen. When you do this, an RSVP page will appear.
Step #5 – Select “Schedule a Job Talk at INFORMS 2024” from the list of options on the RSVP page. This will open the reservation schedule. Select from the available “interview” time slots. Note that what you are selecting is a 20-minute Job Talk time slot which will include 15 minutes of presentation with a five-minute buffer between each talk. There is no 1:1 interview component to Job Talks.
Step #6 – INFORMS will contact you to confirm your Job Talk date and time. All Job Talks will be held in Flex B, Level 2 in the Seattle Convention Center – Summit Building. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for your scheduled Job Talk and check-in at the Job Talks check-in table.

Are you looking for your first job or taking the next step in your career? The INFORMS Annual Meeting Career Fair is offering a free resume review service at the 2024 Annual Meeting in Seattle. Veteran INFORMS members have volunteered their time to review and counsel you on your resume. You can choose from either an academic or industry review of your resume.
This service is available only to students on a first-come, first-served basis. INFORMS has volunteer Resume Reviewers available at the following times to meet with you in Seattle at the Career Fair:
