Franz Edelman Award
For more than 50 years, the Franz Edelman Award Competition has brought forward, recognized and rewarded outstanding examples of applied analytics in practice from around the world. Previous winners have included: the CDC, Intel Corporation, General Motors, Walmart, and UPS.
In the evening, the Edelman Gala celebrates multiple competition winners and provides an exceptional networking opportunity with competitor company executives. New at the Gala in 2024 is the awarding of the inaugural Early Career Practitioner award, which celebrates young professionals in OR/MS and analytics for their outstanding work in business, government, and consulting. It honors individuals who have made a big impact within five years of finishing school, recognizing their achievements outside of traditional academic paths.
