Asking AI the Right Questions: ChatGPT’s Role in Transforming Operations Research Learning and Understanding
This talk offers a groundbreaking perspective on how non-technical users can harness the power of Operations Research and Data Science through AI, particularly using ChatGPT, by asking the right questions…and no math or code. We will explore how, with the right guidance, prompt engineering and agentic creation, non-technical individuals can achieve results that were once only possible for those with deep technical expertise.
We endeavor to equip non-technical users with the transformative powers of operations research. The focus is on enabling those without a background in data science or coding to access and leverage advanced analysis techniques, then also using AI as a collaborator to aid in understanding, and uncovering insights. We’ll discuss and showcase ChatGPT can be used to simplify complex concepts, create captivating visualizations, and clean and prepare data– making OR accessible and actionable for a wider audience.
The talk will include examples of how non-technical users have applied these methods to produce meaningful results in various industries.As part of this initiative, we are excited to announce our charter cohorts of Intro and Advanced Data Analysis with ChatGPT in April and May on the Uplimit platform. These courses are designed to equip participants with these newfound capabilities, showcasing how AI can level the playing field in data science and operations research.
