Even through criticism, sports analytics have become ubiquitous with live televised sports. Thanks to tracking data in football, baseball and hockey, we know more about the games and athletes we love than ever before. This talk will discuss how broadcasts use these tools to enhance conversation and where to find these data. Additionally, we will then explore how to implement sports analytics into your own discussions by looking at the different situations they can be used and how others might misuse their functionality.
