John Thomas

John Thomas is an accomplished technology leader, specializing in Data and Analytics transformations. His areas of expertise encompass contemporary data architecture, data strategy, data engineering, data governance, business intelligence, and analytics. He has actively led numerous cloud data and advanced analytics programs, primarily on GCP and Azure, which have successfully implemented data lakes, data warehouses, lake houses, as well as machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions.

Over the course of his career, which spans more than two decades, John has held leadership roles in both Enterprise IT and Management Consulting. He began his consulting career at Deloitte, later moving to Infosys, and has held leadership positions at Key Bank and Equifax. As a Senior Director at Equifax, he spearheaded the cloud data transformation of several key US data assets.

John also has experience in nurturing technology startups, having been one of the founding directors of Visual IQ, an AI and Analytics startup that was subsequently acquired by Neilsen. As the CEO of Kerala Startup Mission, a technology startup ecosystem that operates multiple incubators and accelerators, he had the opportunity to mentor and nurture a large number of technology startups.

Currently, John serves as a Lead Consulting Partner with the Data & Analytics Practice at Tata Consultancy Services, where he also heads the generative AI COE for the Healthcare and Lifesciences vertical. John earned his MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA, and his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Kozhikode.
