Melanie Barker is an industrial engineer with a career spanning over 24 years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida and later completed her Master’s degree in the same field at the University of Central Florida.
Melanie’s professional journey began at Walt Disney World, where she spent 11 years in various roles, initially as a labor analyst supporting the Studios theme park and later transitioning to the industrial engineering department, where she focused on operations within the Downtown Disney district and Transportation line of business.
For the past 13 years, Melanie has been employed by Rockwell Automation as an Arena simulation consultant. In this role, she has built simulation models for clients across multiple industries, including food & beverage manufacturing, healthcare, and oil & gas supply chain models. She also assists Arena users with developing their own models and advancing their skills in using the software.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys baking, playing board games, learning how to figure skate, and photography.
