Melissa Perry

Melissa is a Senior Analytics Manager on the Enterprise Data team at Peloton Interactive, Inc. , focusing on foundational data models spanning workout content, platform engagement, and connected fitness device history. In 2021, Melissa earned her M.S. in Data Science at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, where she completed her capstone on operationalizing predictive maintenance on a network of distributed equipment. After using data to support executive network operations leaders at US Cellular Corporation through their 5G launch strategic plan, Melissa was prepared to step into people leadership herself. Peloton drew and developed on Melissa’s leadership capabilities as the company quickly transformed from a pandemic household staple into an unstable turnaround in the years following. After she grew her team from 1 to 7 analysts and data scientists, she lost them all, and rebuilt the team from the ground up in 2023. Despite the backdrop of these challenges, her proudest achievements include leveraging activity-based costing to highlight >$10M in cost optimization opportunities in US Cellular’s network, and leading Peloton’s data team to develop a device history model that saves millions of dollars cross-functionally. Melissa enjoys teaching others technical and adaptive skills necessary to be a success in the analytics field. Outside of work, she explores her city, Houston,TX, enjoys cooking and entertaining for friends, and routinely visits her hometown, Louisville, KY, for bluegrass and bourbon.
