Anylogic: Simulation Modeling is Migrating to the Cloud
Presented By: Andrei Borshchev & Nikolay Churkov

A significant part of the simulation model lifecycle is moving to the cloud – this process has already started and continues to gain momentum. Cloud services will much simplify and significantly enhance communication for simulation consultants and clients alike, bringing a new level of modeling for both teams and individuals. During the workshop, we will discuss exactly what is moving to the cloud and what is staying in the traditional form, in what cases the cloud can greatly improve the performance of simulation experiments, and whether a web browser and present frontend technology are ready to serve as an interface for simulation models. We will do an extensive demo of The AnyLogic Cloud – the most advanced cloud solution for simulation to date.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”black”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4644″ img_size=”medium” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”http://www.appliedmaterials.com/global-services/automation-software”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Applied Materials

Hands-on Optimization of Healthcare Systems
Presented By: Bill Nordgren and Brittany Quinn

It comes as no surprise that healthcare systems are complex, with a high level of variability at nearly every stage in the patient care process and with interdependencies among facility resources. Simulation modeling is an effective tool at considering these characteristics, allowing modelers to optimize and improve health systems. Join FlexSim’s Bill Nordgren and Brittany Quinn in this interactive workshop to incrementally optimize a model using FlexSim HC, a package specifically designed to model healthcare systems. Discover new techniques for modeling and analysis in healthcare as you investigate the environment and run through a number of “what if” scenarios. **Don’t forget to bring your Windows-equipped laptop to join in!**[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”black”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4685″ img_size=”” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https://www.solver.com/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Frontline Systems, Inc

Full-Spectrum Analytics in Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or Your Own Application
Presented by: Daniel Fylstra, President, Frontline Systems Inc.

See the easiest way to build models, get analytics results, and share them across your organization at this workshop, where business analysts, developers new to analytics, and experts are all welcome.  We’ll demonstrate how you can quickly get results from data and text mining, Monte Carlo simulation and risk analysis, conventional and stochastic optimization models, by leveraging skills you already have.  We’ll move an advanced analytics model from Excel to Tableau, Power BI, or your own web or mobile app — where the model still runs — with just a few mouse clicks.

Pull data into your analytic models, whether it’s in spreadsheets, databases, BI systems, cloud sources, or Apache Spark Big Data clusters.  Learn analytic modeling as you work to get results, using our online courses, or in hundreds of university courses where our software is used.  You’ll see why over 8,500 organizations have used Frontline Solvers over more than 25 years, and why over 300,000 users are already using our cloud analytics apps.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”black”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4735″ img_size=”” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https://www.llamasoft.com/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]LLamasoft

How to Simulate, Analyze, and Optimize Operations Research with MATLAB
Presented By: Will Campbell, MathWorks

MATLAB is an extensible technical computing platform for analyzing data and creating models.  In this session, we will employ MATLAB to develop a discrete-event simulation of a manufacturing plant.  We will examine the real-world challenges of leveraging information in external data repositories to correctly configure our manufacturing model.  The task of executing the simulation under different scenarios will be automated and deployed to a cluster to maximize computational horsepower.  This automation will then be tied to a genetic algorithm to optimize manufacturing throughput.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”black”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4649″ img_size=”” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https://www.simio.com/index.php”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]SIMIO
