CTL-TEN: Explore opportunities for educators at every career level

The INFORMS Committee on Teaching and Learning (CTL) Teaching Excellence and Networking (TEN) Workshop

Formerly known as ECTN, this pre-conference workshop has expanded to reach a broader community, including graduate students, early-career faculty, mid-career professionals, and senior professionals.

This workshop is designed to enhance teaching practices, support teaching-focused careers in data analytics, operations research, supply chain and management science, and foster meaningful mentorship and networking opportunities.

Participants will engage with a diverse set of speakers from academia, industry, and government through panels, discussions, and collaborative sessions. Topics might include:

Teaching-focused job market preparation
Writing impactful teaching statements
Course and curriculum design
Ethical use of AI in teaching
Belonging and inclusivity in the classroom
And more!

If you would like to attend the workshop without any responsibilities but still want to stay connected with your community and attend the panels, this option is for you.

Commitment:

Must register for and attend the 2025 INFORMS Annual Meeting, including the CTL-TEN workshop

Fee:

The fee to attend the workshop is $50 for students and $150 for non-students. This includes breakfast, lunch, and a reception at the end of the day. After filling out the registration form, you will receive an email with registration information.
