The INFORMS Analytics Framework (IAF) is gaining recognition as a valuable teaching tool and roadmap for turning analytics ideas into successful,
deployed solutions. But what does the framework look like in practice—especially when developing complex optimization applications in real-world operating environments?

Drawing on decades of experience developing and deploying optimization solutions, Princeton Consultants Optimization Principal Irv Lustig will offer a practitioner’s perspective on how to use the IAF to improve project success.
A key contributor to the framework, Irv brings the unusual perspective of
having helped shape the IAF while also having spent his career confronting
the technical, organizational, data and implementation challenges it is
designed to address.

Using real-world examples, Irv will show how the stages of the IAF connect to decisions practitioners must make throughout an optimization project. He will pay particular attention to identifying and managing risks early, including the “Princeton 20”—10 environmental and 10 technical risks that Princeton Consultants evaluates at the outset of projects.
