INFORMS CAREER FAIR

WHY PARTICIPATE

  • Gain priority access to recruiters and job openings across academia, industry, and government.

  • Schedule 1:1 conversations and make lasting impressions in real time.

  • See job postings from participating employers and follow up after the event.

  • Participate in a virtual resume review or coaching session held in October prior to the Career Fair (see event page link coming September 2026).

HOW TO REGISTER

  • Step #1 – Register for the 2026 INFORMS Annual Meeting (required).

  • Step #2 – Create or update your Career Center job seeker account at https://careercenter.informs.org/  (Register or Sign In). Complete your Career Center profile and upload an up-to-date resume so employers can discover you.

  • Step #3 – Register for the Career Fair on the Career Center event page (go to https://careercenter.informs.org/events and click on the “Register as an Attendee” button). Once registered, you can review openings, plan who to meet, respond to interview requests and manage your schedule.

  • Step #4 – If you want a virtual resume review or coaching session, use the Resume Review/Coaching tab (available mid-September 2026) to select ONE slot (first-come, first-served).

TIPS & REMINDERS: WHAT TO DO IN ADVANCE

  • Ensure your talent profile is completed, and your up-to-date resume is uploaded. Participating employers will have access to the resume database.

  • Research the companies you’re interested in interviewing with. Be ready to discuss your education, skill sets, and past experiences and how you can help the employers you meet.

  • Print extra copies of your resume if you plan to share paper copies on site. INFORMS does not offer on-site printing and hotel options may be limited.

  • Come rested and ready to make a great first impression.

  • Follow up with a thank-you email after interviews. If you do a resume review/coaching session, send a thank-you note to your volunteer reviewer/coach.

For all attendees:

Please help us ensure a fair and inclusive event. Career Fair is structured to ensure equitable access and opportunities for all participants. To maintain the event’s integrity and benefits for all, INFORMS strongly discourages employers and job seekers from engaging in formal recruiting and interviewing outside of scheduled Career Fair events and activities. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact Tom Fink at [email protected].
