Job Market Showcase Cluster
The Job Market Showcase Track is a new initiative at the INFORMS Annual Meeting, designed to centralize job seekers and recruiters in one dedicated space. This track provides an opportunity for recent and soon-to-be graduates to present their research and engage with potential employers.
Who Can Participate?
To be eligible to give a Job Talk, participants must:
- Be a current member of I
NFORMS
- Be a current post-doc or PhD student (with an anticipated completion date by summer 2026) or have received a PhD degree within the past two years (i.e., not prior to 2023)
- Be actively searching for an academic or industry job during the 2025-2026 school year
- Obtain advisor confirmation of eligibility
- Adhere to the INFORMS Annual Meeting one-talk policy:
- A speaker in the Job Market Showcase Track may not give another technical talk at the conference.
Job Talk Format
- Each session will feature four job talks
- Recommended structure:
- 15-minute presentation
- 3-minute Q&A session
- Total: 18 minutes per speaker
How to Apply
- Job seekers must complete the application form by clicking the Apply Now button below.
- Applications are due by March 28, 2025, but will be accepted on a rolling basis before the deadline.
- All applicants who meet eligibility requirements and apply by the deadline are expected to be included.
- Late applicants who meet eligibility requirements may be considered, space permitting.
- The Job Talk Committee will review applications and verify eligibility with advisors.
- Advisors may be invited to serve as session chairs.
- The application form will collect details to verify eligibility, request supervisor contact information, and ask for a brief bio and description of the proposed talk. The Job Market Showcase Track Co-Chairs will contact supervisors to confirm eligibility.
