Effects of Status Quo on Vehicle Purchase, Analyzed with DCM and Machine Learning
This study presents two major results of analyzing the survey replied by 516 vehicle owners of South Korea in the year 2020, giving implications for both vehicle manufacturers to pursue effective marketing and the government to make adequate policy. Machine learning model was used in order to understand the status quo effect on the vehicle purchase decisions, in order to overcome the limitations of the multinomial logit model.
