Amazon’s Intelligent Self-Healing Supply Chains

Amazon runs one of the most complex and successful supply chains in the world; selling 400 million products to more a billion people, incl. 200 million PRIME customers; delivering their orders within a day from 1000+ fulfillment centers located in 26 countries. AWS Supply Chain solution was recently launched as a SaaS offering, bringing together Amazon’s world-class supply chain optimization experience on the AWS’ cloud platform. Customers can pull their operations data (without having to replace any of the existing systems) into the cloud with ML-driven data association, an opinionated data lake to provide single source of truth, and AI-powered insights and actionable recommendations. Most, existing supply chain systems tend to be siloed by function, limiting the ability to get comprehensive picture within the enterprise, much less across a trading partner network of suppliers and channel partners. Without all the data in one place it is almost impossible to make the right decision about supply chains.
